What is an E-Gift Card?

An E-Gift card works exactly the same as a physical gift card, but comes to you in an electronic version. You can typically buy these from a businesses website by simply giving a few details and making an online payment for the amount you'd like to load onto the card. Most websites will give you a unique code to use when shopping, and you just apply this code into your basket at checkout. The money will be taken off of the gift card or take the whole amount if you are buying something equivalent to the amount on the card or more. Any money left over on the card will remain so you can use it next time you shop.

Does an E-Gift card expire?

E-Gift Cards do expire in the same way that a physical gift card expires, but the length of time they are valid can vary by business. When purchasing an E-Gift Card, the website you are buying from will usually state what the expiry date is. If it does not show there and then, most websites will have a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page where you can search for the answer, or failing that, will usually have a dedicated help team you can contact to answer your question.

Does an E-gift Card have a value limit?

The majority of businesses will start with a minimum amount you can purchase but there is usually no upper limit! Simply type in the amount you'd like to load onto your E-Gift Card, and the website will set up payment for you.
